Growing interest in green and blue ammonia for energy imports: techno-economic studies by thyssenkrupp Uhde for potential cumulative global production of over 30 million tpa
thyssenkrupp Uhde’s competence center for green ammonia in Australia supports a broad variety of customers with techno-economic studies and optimization concepts. In total, the studies already conducted would amount to a potential increase of the global production capacity by around 30 million tpa (tons per annum) of green ammonia. To produce the required green hydrogen, electrolyzers with more than 45 gigawatts would need to be installed with varying power supply configurations

Green ammonia: thyssenkrupp Uhde signed a contract with Ark Energy for the Han- Ho H2 Hub Feasibility Study

thyssenkrupp Uhde has been engaged by Ark Energy Corporation Pty Ltd on behalf of the Han-Ho H2 Consortium (the ‘Consortium’) to deliver a Feasibility Study to support the development of the Han-Ho H2 Hub Project. The study will involve a comprehensive techno-economic analysis of the power-to-ammonia value chain using thyssenkrupp Uhde’s proprietary RHAMFS® methodology.

Reduced CO2 emissions and increased sustainability in plastics production - Commercial debut   for PLAneo® technology from thyssenkrupphyssenKrupp - December 2016

To reduce dependency on petroleum-based plastics
thyssenkrupp has developed its own manufacturing process for the bioplastic polylactide (PLA). Now the company is building the first commercial plant based on its patented PLAneo® technology in Changchun, China.
The customer is COFCO Corporation, a leading supplier of agri-products offering a wide range of foodstuffs and services. Once completed, the new plant will produce around 10,000 tons of PLA per year. Commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018.

McPhy Energy will become ThyssenKrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers’ exclusive supplier for its high-capacity and high-pressure water electrolysis-based hydrogen generation equipment for the renewable energy storage market, particularly power-to-gas and carbon-free mobility applications.
